“Please support the gender justice, Black leadership, and souther movement building y’all! Unity and solidarity make a movement strong. On Give OUT Day, any national prize grants received by Southerners on New Ground or Transgender Law Center will be split 50/50. You can support TLC here: http://bit.ly/TLCgiveout and SONG here: http://bit.ly/SONGgiveout. Their work is moments, vital, and amazing. Funding these organizations deliberately builds Transgender, Black, People of Color, and Southern communities closer to justice! Thanks to fam, Ola Osaze for your work and reminders for this.” Give directly here.
I am honored to be a poet and contributor to this upcoming anthology with Micha Cardenas, Adrienne Marie Brown, Alexis Pauline Gumbs, & more!
Writing the Walls Down
Hey folks! Trans-Genre Press is fundraising to publish Writing the Walls Down and we need your help!We need to raise $9,150 in the next 30 days to meet our goal.
Writing the Walls Down is a multi-genre gathering of US and international voices in an effort to generate a cross cultural and nuanced dialogue that not only examines the power of walls to divide, but walls as sites of resistance, (re)connection, and community.
Shouts out to Amita Swadhin for hosting me post-Santa Barbara
and QPOC Conference. It was wonderful to rest, chop it up with other
sick and disabled queers, and get delicious LA food. In my less than
36 hours visit to Los Angeles, I got to see the Manifest Justice Exhibit
which also showcases a project I am featured in, Queer Icons! Also,
yes that is correct, that is none other than Rosario Dawson. Amita was called
“gorgeous” by her and well, that made everyone’s night. I know, priorities.
